It's no secret that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has been the premier martial art technique for the past 20 years and has been proven time after time to help benefit the mind, body and soul. Here at Pro-Am we offer gi and no gi Jiu Jitsu taught by our professional instructors.
The art of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu strives for simplicity and effectiveness. Jiu-jitsu focuses on close combat altercations and ground fighting. The techniques taught in Jiu-jitsu are based on submissions and controlling techniques. These techniques allow for a student to maintain better control of attackers while limiting the risk for personal injury. Jiu Jitsu utilizes body mechanics over strength, weight, and speed allowing the person using it to be any age, size, or fitness level.
Whether you're new to the sport, just looking for a good total body workout, or looking to compete then our program is for you! Our instructors will work with you to allow you to develop at your own pace through the use of drills, and sparring as well as strength and conditioning exercises.
